Private Saona Island Adventure

from $749.99

Experience Saona Differently

For the adventurous. For the curious. For those who want more than a typical island day.

Your journey begins in Bayahibe, leaving the standard routes behind as you explore the natural beauty surrounding Saona Island with a local guide who knows these waters well.

The adventure takes you beyond the usual stops — through calm coastal waters, mangrove forests, and natural pools where you can slow down, swim, and experience the incredible ecosystems that make this part of the Dominican Republic so unique.

Along the way, you’ll search for marine life, explore quieter corners of the coastline, and see a side of the island that most visitors miss when they rush from one crowded stop to the next.

Then, the journey continues to Saona.

Enjoy the beauty that made this island famous, with time to relax on the beach, share a fresh island lunch, and take in the Caribbean atmosphere before continuing your adventure.

From there, you’ll make your way to Palmilla, a legendary natural pool surrounded by endless blue water — the perfect place to float, explore, and appreciate the landscape one last time before heading back.

As the afternoon fades, you’ll return across the water with a deeper connection to the island — not just having visited Saona, but having experienced it.

This isn’t just a trip to Saona.

It’s a full-day Caribbean adventure built around nature, exploration, and the places in between.

After meeting your guide in Bayahibe, you'll board your private boat and set off along the spectacular coastline of Cotubanamá National Park, leaving the busy tour routes behind as your adventure begins. Your private boat journey is just getting started.

1

Your first stop brings you to a secluded snorkeling site where you'll have the opportunity to snorkel with red cushion sea stars in crystal-clear Caribbean water before continuing deeper into the park.

2

As the boat winds through peaceful mangrove islets, you'll search for sea turtles and eagle rays, keeping an eye on the water while your guide points out the unique wildlife that thrives in this protected ecosystem.

3

Before reaching Saona, you'll have the option to snorkel with schools of tropical fish, or simply relax aboard and enjoy the scenery as the island comes into view.

5

Once you arrive, a short jungle path leads you onto the island, where you'll relax on Saona Beach with plenty of time to swim, explore the shoreline, or simply enjoy the Caribbean before lunch.

4

When it's time to eat, you'll gather for a fresh island buffet lunch featuring seafood, grilled meats, Dominican specialties, and an open bar before heading back out onto the water.

The adventure continues with a stop at Palmilla Natural Pool, where you can float in the shallow turquoise water, enjoy one last swim, and keep an eye out for sea turtles before the journey home.

As the afternoon comes to an end, you'll cruise back to Bayahibe, taking in the beautiful coastline and returning with memories of a side of Saona that few visitors ever get to experience.
